Wal-Mart will become the second major retail chain to sell the iPhone, according to reports.
The device is currently available at Apple, AT&T and Best Buy stores. Several Wal-Mart employees have reported that the store will start selling the device for $197, a $2 price drop.
Store employees in California said the phone would be on sale by the last week of December, and possibly before Christmas.
There were rumors of a low-end $99 iPhone being released to coincide with Wal-Mart’s introduction of the iPhone to its stores.
