Unreal 3D engine demonstrated on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch.

Game designers Epic Games have shown a demonstration of Unreal Engine 3 running on the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch.

The first-person shooter uses a modified level of the game Unreal Tournament and employs dual-touch controls.

The game has uses a virtual thumbstick on the bottom left part of the touch screen to control movement and a shooting button on the bottom right.

The game requires Open GL 2.0, which is only available on the iPhone 3GS and the latest iPod touch.

This news opens up the possibility of the appearance of Unreal-powered iPhone games.
