Google is reportedly in talks with the TV industry for steaming individual shows on YouTube for a fee, AllThingsD reports.
YouTube currently offers users ad-supported TV shows for free but Google now wants to enter the paid digital media arena that includes iTunes.
The shows would be $1.99 per episode and they would become available for streaming the day after airing on television.
Customers, however, are likely to be the ones that need the most convincing as they will not be able to download the shows to their computer.
