Best Buy has been selling the iPad in 673 locations through Apple Shop since the tablet’s launch in early April.
“Technology is becoming more and more personal, and our customers say they really value visiting a Best Buy store to touch and try the iPad for themselves,” said Wendy Fritz, senior vice president of computing at Best Buy. “We’re delighted that we’ll soon make that opportunity available to everyone who’d like to come see us, and experience this device in any Best Buy store nationwide.”
Best Buy will also begin carrying a complete selection of iPad accessories starting September 26th.
Apple yesterday announced that it will start selling the iPad in China and several South American countries on Friday. Plans to expand the iPad’s distribution network have also been rumored to be in motion, with Target said to be preparing to offer the device in October.
