The European Trademark and Design Office has granted 39 design trademarks to Apple for their unibody MacBook Pro and 24” Cinema Display. These designs will be registered trademarks of Apple until 2014.
The MacBook’s unique chassis built from a single block of aluminum and its multi-touch trackpad were among the features that garnered this product 30 of the trademarks. The other 9 were achieved by the Cinema Display, which is Apple’s only model with LED technology to improve power efficiency, brightness, and color reproduction.
Designs were credited to Bartley K. Andre, Daniel J. Coster, Daniele De Iuliis, Evans Hankey, Richard P. Howarth, Jonathan P. Ive, Steve Jobs, Duncan Robert Kerr, Shin Nishibori, Matthew Dean Rohrbach, Peter Russell-Clarke, Douglas B. Satzger, Christopher J. Stringer, Eugene Antony Whang and Rico Zorkendorfer.
