Apple unveils 27” Cinema Display.

Tuesday, Apple introduced its 27” widescreen LED backlit Cinema Display monitor.

The $999 monitor features a 2560x1440-pixel, 16:9 arsenic-free glass display with IPS technology that provides a 178-degree viewing angle and will ship in September.

Apple reports:

“With 60 percent more pixels than the 24-inch LED Cinema Display, the 27-inch LED Cinema Display gives you even more room for all your windows and applications.

“...You can connect your LED Cinema Display to any of the current lineup of Mac notebooks and desktop computers: MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Pro.”
