Mobile analytics firm Flurry has spotted about 50 devices believed to be Apple’s much rumored tablet device.
The tablets, which were being used to test iPhone applications, were tracked from Apple’s Cupertino, CA campus. These devices were first spotted in October 2009 but testing dramatically increased in January.
Flurry also found that the alleged tablets were running the unreleased iPhone OS 3.2, casting doubt into the claim that the tablet would be unveiled with iPhone OS 4.0.
Apple is hosting a media event on Wednesday during which the company is expected to introduce a tablet device.
