Apple stock hits record prices.

Shares of Apple, Inc. (AAPL) closed at a historic high of $223.02 today after rising $3.94 or 1.8% during a busy trading day.

The previous record closing price for the company’s stock was set yesterday when it closed at $219.09.

Apple is currently ranked the fourth most valuable publicly-traded company in the United States, behind Wal-Mart (WMT), Microsoft (MSFT) and Exxon Mobil (XOM).

The all-time record price paid for a share of Apple was also set today at $225.00.
