Apple releases trackpad firmware update.

Apple released a firmware update for MacBook and MacBook Pro trackpads.

MacBook, MacBook Pro Trackpad Firmware Update 1.0 addresses an issue where trackpad clicks may not be recognized on MacBook (Late 2008) and MacBook Pro (Late 2008) systems.

The update package will install an updater application into the Applications/Utilities folder and will launch it automatically.

Apple releases Safari 3.2.

Apple today released a new version of its Safari web browser. Safari 3.2 comes with improved security and protection from phishing websites:

This update is recommended for all Safari users and features protection from fraudulent phishing websites and better identification of online businesses. This update also includes the latest security updates.

The update is available for Leopard, Tiger and Windows.

Thailand’s True Move to carry iPhone 3G.

Thailand’s third largest mobile phone firm, True Move, a subsidiary of True Corp, said on Thursday it had signed a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone 3G in Thailand.

“True Move has signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone 3G to Thailand in the coming months,” it said in a statement. It gave no precise date.

Apple to open 250th store on Friday.
