Apple and AT&T have both revealed new information today regarding the iPhone 3G’s launch, including launch time, pricing, and how to prepare for the new iPhone 3G. First, AT&T has set July 11th at 8:00am for the official launch time of the iPhone 3G. AT&T has posted two new videos for existing customers and new customers.
Although Apple has not publicly announced an official launch time, they have posted a guided tour video of their own to demonstrate new features on the iPhone 3G. Pricing structure and plans were also released today. Apple is working with AT&T to subsidize the iPhone for as little as $199 plus an $18 upgrade fee for current iPhone subscribers. New users will be paying $399 for the base model. Two-year contract required. Coming soon, AT&T will offer a no-commitment option of $599 for 8GB and $699 for 16GB.
