Apple Special Event in September?

According to Katie Marsal of AppleInsider, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster believes that Apple will host a special event in September to usher in new iPods and MacBooks.

“The Cupertino-based company has used a September gathering to launch new iPods for the past three years, Munster advised clients in a research report Wednesday, adding that Apple shares have risen about 4 percent on average from the week before those events to the week after,” Marsal reports. “Historically, shares have risen more than 47 percent between the week before those events to the four months after, he said.”

Gene Munster holds a target price of $250 on AAPL stock.

I guessed this over a month ago.  I figured after the Back to School special ended would be a good time to release some news stuff.

It makes sense to sell what you have to students who need it and then create lust to sell the new things for those who WANT them.

Will someone please hire me as an analyst?
